Qualifications

• BSME from ABET-accredited program with strong background in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
• 10+ years in the nuclear power industry.
• Experience with nuclear uprates and/or turbine retrofit projects.
• Knowledge of balance of plant systems, heat balance, pumps, exchangers, and etc.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead licensing basis system and component evaluations for nuclear uprate projects.
• Apply thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics to power plant engineering.
• Prepare and review calculations for heat balances, pumps, heat exchangers, and hazards.
• Prepare task reports and equipment evaluations for client requirements.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers on technical tasks.
• Interface with clients and project teams to present status.
• Develop engineering proposals and cost estimates.
• Perform independent reviews of work and drawings.
• Attend client meetings and site walkdowns.
