Job summary

ENERCON's Nuclear Design Group is seeking mechanical or civil/structural engineering interns to help design and optimize critical systems for nuclear and energy projects. You will gain hands-on experience in energy sustainability, environmental protection, and modern engineering challenges.

Ideal candidates are pursuing ABET-accredited degrees, with coursework in thermodynamics, statics, and materials science, and possess strong writing and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an ABET-accredited school in Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Preferred courses: Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Material Science, Statics, Structural Analysis, Mechanics of Materials, Engineering Mechanics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Ability to travel for client/project work.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and optimizing critical systems for energy projects.
• Support nuclear power plant upgrades and environmental remediation efforts.
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to deliver projects.
• Prepare technical documentation and presentations.
• Support field activities including site walks and travel to client sites.
