Job summary

ENERCON's Nuclear Design Group is seeking mechanical engineering interns to contribute to plant upgrades, safety analyses, licensing support, and advanced reactor projects. You will gain hands-on experience while working with mentors in a collaborative environment.

Preferred majors are Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering; offices in Kennesaw, GA and Baton Rouge, LA. Join ENERCON to develop skills on meaningful energy projects within a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Preferred graduation window (Dec 2027 – Jun 2028).
• Available to start May 2027 – Jun 2027.
• Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in teams and contribute as an individual.
• Willingness to travel and work at client sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and optimization of mechanical systems for nuclear projects.
• Support energy and environmental projects within a collaborative team.
• Contribute to safety analyses and licensing support tasks.
• Gain hands-on experience across multiple ENERCON projects.
