Job summary

ENERCON is seeking civil and structural engineering interns to support our Nuclear Design Group. The internship offers hands-on design, analysis, and site visits at client locations, with exposure to safety, environmental compliance, and engineering standards.

Ideal candidates are pursuing ABET-accredited Civil/Structural programs, expect to graduate 2027–2028, and can start May–June 2027. Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, and travel readiness are required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil/structural engineering program preferred.
• Preferred graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Available to start May 2027 to June 2027.
• Courses: Steel, Concrete, and Structural Analysis.
• Solid working foundation in core concepts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to contribute individually and work in teams.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Must climb stairs and ladders at client sites.
• Must navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.
• Must be able to work outside.
• Willingness to travel for client/company projects.
