Job summary

Enercon is seeking a leader to join our Nuclear Services Group to head the pipe stress analysis unit, directing staff and coordinating with project managers and clients. The role focuses on quality, timely delivery, and technical leadership across piping design and stress analyses for nuclear applications.

You will mentor engineers, approve designs, and build strong client relationships while aligning with project budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related Engineering field from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in piping design, layout and analysis in power generation, nuclear power or heavy industrial; preference for 2 years in a lead role.
• Professional Engineering License strongly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of ASME B31.1 and ASME B&PV Code piping codes.
• Knowledge of AutoPIPE, PIPESTRESS, and/or other pipe stress software.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time; travel may vary by project.
• Ability to motivate the team and lead through a positive style.
• Ability to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear power plant.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the pipe stress analysis unit; approve designs and timesheets.
• Maintain unit quality and enforce standards; certify designs per client and code requirements.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, and engineering documents; develop client relationships.
• Provide coaching and professional development for staff; promote licenses and training.
• Support staffing plans and administrative functions for the unit.
