Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide high quality imaging services. The PRN role involves setting up equipment, obtaining quality diagnostic studies, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

The candidate should have an Associates in Radiologic Technology, ARRT Nuclear Technology or equivalent certification, and BLS. The position includes opportunities for education funding through CareerCare and flexible scheduling within up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech certification preferred.
• BLS certification required or Instructor level.

Responsibilities

• Adjust technique to obtain best image quality for each study.
• Verify clinician orders and patient identity before procedures.
• Prepare and position patient; operate NM equipment safely and efficiently.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and communicate findings to radiologist.
• Assist other technologists and respond to emergencies as needed.
