Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine technologist to perform a variety of imaging procedures, ensuring safety and high-quality diagnostic studies. You will set up equipment, position patients, and work within departmental guidelines to deliver accurate results.

The role requires an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT Nuclear Technology or equivalent certification, and at least 1 year of clinical experience, with BLS.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates Radiologic Technology required.
• Experience: minimum 1 year in clinical setting with patients.
• 1 year Nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• Certifications: ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech; BLS required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Adjust technique to optimize image quality and accuracy.
• Verify orders, collect history, and ensure patient safety.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals per protocol with precautions.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control.
• Document procedures and use Time Out per policy.
• Assist other technologists and support patient care.
