Job summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Carle Health performs diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical administrations using Nuc Med and PET/CT equipment in accordance with department protocols and regulatory requirements.

Qualified candidates must obtain CNMT within 1 year and be registered in Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) within 1 year, with BLS within 30 days. Strong organizational skills and patient flow management are essential.

Qualifications

• CNMT within 1 year – NMTCB certification required.
• Registered in Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) within 1 year.
• BLS within 30 days.
• Education: College Diploma or Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and coordinate patient flow.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical administration using Nuc Med and/or PET/CT equipment.
• Reviews orders and patient history to ensure medical necessity and exam accuracy.
• Transferrs and verifies image data in PACS and assists Radiologist with interpretations.
• Maintains imaging equipment and workplace safety, inventory, and ordering.
• Supports student and staff instruction; cross-trains for other modalities as needed.
