The Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Carle Health performs diagnostic studies and therapeutic administrations using radiopharmaceuticals with adherence to policy and safety regulations. A sign-on bonus of $5,000 and relocation assistance are offered for relocations over 50 miles.

Educations include College Diploma or Certificate of Completion with related field; licensure includes Radiologic Technologist (IEMA), CNMT within 1 year, and BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

Licensed Radiologic Technologist in Radiography (IEMA).
CNMT within 1 year; NMTCB certification.
Registration in Nuclear Medicine Technology within 1 year.
BLS certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical administration per protocols.
Reviews orders and patient history for medical necessity.
Transfers and verifies image data in PACS for radiologist review.
Maintains imaging equipment and workplace safety and cleanliness.
May instruct students and staff; cross-trains in related modalities.
