Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic studies and administer radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with department procedures. The role requires CNMT certification within 1 year and NMT registration within 1 year, plus BLS within 30 days.

The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for relocations over 50 miles. Strong attention to patient flow and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires CNMT certification within 1 year and NMTCB certification.
• Registered in Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) within 1 year.
• BLS certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical therapeutic administration using Nuc Med and/or PED/CT equipment following department protocols.
• Reviews cases with radiologist and assesses patient history to determine correct exam.
• Administers IV radiopharmaceuticals, performs veni-puncture, and places IV line.
• Screens for pregnancy and conducts pregnancy testing when applicable.
• Reviews radiology orders for completeness and medical necessity.
