Job summary

Carle Health seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical therapies using Nuc Med and PET/CT equipment, while maintaining compliance with protocols and Safety guidelines.

The role includes reviewing orders, ensuring medical necessity, and transferring data to PACS for radiologist interpretation. The team emphasizes safety, teaching, and collaboration across imaging services.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as Radiologic Technologist (IEMA)
• CNMT within 1 year of hire
• Registered in Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) within 1 year
• BLS within 30 days of start

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical therapy using Nuc Med and/or PET/CT equipment.
• Review cases with radiologist; assess labs and patient history for medical necessity.
• Administer IV radiopharmaceuticals via existing IV line or veni-puncture.
• Ensure accurate image data transfer to PACS and support radiologist interpretation.
• Maintain imaging equipment and supply inventories; report malfunctions.
• Ensure patient, staff and environmental safety; participate in student instruction.
