Job summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist position at Carle Health performs diagnostic studies and assists with radiopharmaceutical administrations using Nuc Med and PET/CT equipment. The role follows department protocols and regulatory guidelines to ensure safety and accuracy in imaging.

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography (Illinois regulatory body).
• CNMT within 1 year - NMTCB certification.
• Nuclear Medicine registration within 1 year.
• BLS certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical administration per department protocols.
• Reviews orders and patient history for medical necessity.
• Maintains imaging quality; critiques positioning and technical factors.
• Transfers images to PACS and communicates with Radiologist.
• Maintains equipment and ensures safety for patients and staff.
