Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide high-quality imaging and patient care in a fast-paced department. The role emphasizes safe procedures, accurate imaging, and independent workflow with a focus on diagnostic excellence.

The incumbent will operate NM equipment, verify orders and patient IDs, and maintain clinical documentation while supporting team training and patient education. Strong attention to infection control and safety is required.

Qualifications

• Associates Radiologic Technology required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience required (may include rotations).
• Minimum 1 year of Nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech required.
• BLS - Instructor certification required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to adjust technique to obtain best study and image quality.
• Verifies proper clinician order and patient identification prior to procedures.
• Is responsible for preprocedural verification and Time Out processes.
• Performs imaging studies and positions patients safely for the exam.
• Maintains equipment, infection control, and readiness for procedures.
• Restocks supplies and supports other technologists as needed.
• Adheres to safety, privacy, and patient comfort protocols.
