Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a PRN position in the United States. The role involves performing a wide range of imaging procedures, ensuring safety, accuracy, and patient comfort.

You will set up equipment, position patients, and collaborate with radiologists to deliver high-quality diagnostic studies. Requires an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT Nuclear Tech or equivalent, and at least 1 year of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical patient care experience required.
• 1 year Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.
• ARRT Nuclear Tech or Cert Nuclear Med Tech certification required.
• CPR/BLS certification required; instructor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adjust technique to optimize image quality and study success.
• Report equipment malfunctions to ensure timely repair.
• Clean and disinfect NM equipment per policy.
• Verify clinician orders and obtain patient history for each exam.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals per safety guidelines.
• Identify patients and apply correct left/right markers.
• Review images and release patients after radiologist review.
• Assist other technologists in modalities and respond to emergencies.
