Job summary

Wellstar seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide high‑quality imaging and patient care within the department. You will set up equipment, position patients, and ensure safety and accuracy of diagnostic exams in a busy clinical setting.

The role emphasizes independent judgment, adherence to procedures, and collaboration with radiology staff to deliver timely, high‑quality studies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience.
• Nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech certification.
• BLS certification required (or Instructor) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Sets up imaging equipment and positions patient for procedures.
• Ensures proper patient identification and safety throughout exams.
• Reviews image quality and ensures timely PACS transmission.
• Maintains infection control and cleans equipment between studies.
• Assists other technologists and participates in on-call duties.
