Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PRN) to perform a full range of imaging studies with a focus on safety and quality. The role requires adapting techniques to achieve diagnostic quality while maintaining patient comfort and dignity.

You will be responsible for preparing radiopharmaceuticals, verifying orders, and ensuring accurate patient identification. Strong teamwork with radiology staff and a commitment to infection control are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience; Nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology certification or Certified Nuclear Medicine Tech.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required on hire.
• Ability to adjust technique to obtain quality images and maintain image quality.

Responsabilités

• Set up equipment and position patient for imaging procedures.
• Verify patient identity and orders; obtain clinical history.
• Follow procedures for radiopharmaceutical administration to ensure patient safety.
• Review images for quality and communicate results to radiologists.
• Operate and maintain NM equipment, report malfunctions.
• Restock supplies and assist other technologists as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and support life‑saving equipment as required.
