Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine technologist for a PRN role in Georgia. The incumbent will perform imaging procedures, ensure patient safety, and maintain high-quality diagnostic studies according to department protocols.

Required to have an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT Nuclear Technology (or Nuclear Med Tech) certification, and BLS. Experience in nuclear medicine preferred; Wellstar supports education and career progression through CareerCare programs.

Qualifications

• Associates Radiologic Technology degree.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech.
• BLS certification (Instructor) required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Adjust technique to optimize image quality and patient safety.
• Verify clinician orders and ensure proper patient identification.
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain consent; document preprocedural steps.
• Operate NM equipment and participate in pre/post procedural care.
• Restock supplies and maintain department cleanliness and safety standards.
• Maintain compliance with Joint Commission standards and hospital policies.
