Job summary

The Nuclear Medicine technologist at Wellstar in Georgia provides safe, age-appropriate care by performing all department exams per procedures. Set up equipment, position patients, and ensure quality diagnostic studies.

Candidates must have Associates in Radiologic Technology, ARRT Nuclear or Cert Nuclear Med Tech, and BLS. At least 1 year clinical experience; PRN schedule with up to 40 hours weekly; Wellstar CareerCare program offers fully funded education and career progression.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience; nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech; BLS required or instructor status.

Responsibilities

• Adjust technique to optimize image quality while maintaining safety.
• Operate and set up NM equipment and position patients for procedures.
• Verify orders, patient history and contraindications before exams; document results.
• Maintain infection control practices and equipment maintenance; report issues promptly.
• Restock supplies and support other technologists as needed.
