Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform imaging procedures with a focus on patient safety and quality studies. The role involves preparing patients, operating imaging equipment, and upholding procedural standards in a clinical environment.

Candidates should have an Associates degree in Radiologic Technology with ARRT Nuclear Technology certification and at least one year of clinical experience. BLS is required; RN or instructor badge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech certification required.
• BLS certification required; Instructor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adjust technique to obtain the best study and maintain image quality.
• Report equipment malfunctions and ensure proper cleaning and maintenance.
• Prepare patient and perform procedures per department protocols while ensuring safety and privacy.
• Verify patient identity with 2 identifiers and follow pre/post procedural care.
• Restock supplies and assist other technologists as needed to ensure smooth operations.
