Job summary
Carle Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic studies and administer radiopharmaceuticals using Nuc Med and PED/CT equipment in accordance with department protocols and safety guidelines.
The role requires CNMT and NMT registration within stated timelines, plus BLS within 30 days. Responsibilities include ensuring image quality, reviewing orders, and collaborating with radiologists.
Qualifications
- Education as College Diploma or Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology.
- CNMT certification within 1 year by NMTCB.
- NMT registration in Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) within 1 year.
- BLS certification within 30 days per AHA.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical administration using Nuc Med and/or PED/CT equipment.
- Review radiology orders and patient history for medical necessity.
- Ensure imaging quality and proper patient safety, including pregnancy screening.
- Transfer and verify image data in PACS; assist radiologist with readings.
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and safety of the work environment.
