Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. The role involves performing diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical therapy using Nuc Med and PET/CT equipment, and coordinating with radiologists to ensure accurate patient imaging.

The ideal candidate will hold Radiologic Technologist licensure, pursue CNMT within 1 year, and maintain BLS. This position emphasizes patient safety, teamwork, and adherence to department protocols.

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography (IEMA)
• CNMT within 1 year - NMTCB
• Registered in Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) within 1 year
• BLS within 30 days - AHA

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical therapy using Nuc Med and/or PED/CT equipment per department protocols.
• Reviews radiology orders for completeness and medical necessity.
• Administers IV radiopharmaceuticals and performs veni-puncture.
• Ensures imaging quality by critiquing positioning and technical factors.
• Transfers and verifies image data in PACS for Radiologist interpretation.
• Maintains imaging equipment and work area; reports malfunctions.
• Supports safety for patients and staff and assists in training.
