Job Summary and Qualifications

The Staff Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for producing diagnostic Nuclear Medicine procedures and assisting physicians or radiologists in delivering high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include:

• Nuclear Medicine imaging, computer manipulation, and processing.
• Camera quality control and radiation safety.
• Radioisotope administration and documentation.
• Image processing and labeling.
• Scheduling procedures.
• Using office computers, filing, phone, and paging systems.
• Transporting patients.

Qualifications include:

• Completion of a two-year Nuclear Medicine training program or equivalent license.
• Certification through ARRT.
• Certification within six months for new hires or modality transfers.
• Current CPR certification.
• Venipuncture certification.
• Meeting continuing education requirements.
• Effective communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork attitude.
