Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Georgia to support imaging services. The role requires setting up equipment, positioning patients, and performing a wide range of procedures with independent judgment.

Candidates should have ARRT Nuclear Technology or Nuclear Med Tech certification and BLS, with at least one year of clinical experience; nuclear medicine experience is preferred. The position is full-time, day shift, with competitive hourly pay, sign-on bonus up to $20,000,

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience required.
• 1 year Nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• All certifications required upon hire (ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech; BLS).

Responsibilities

• Ensure image quality and appropriate technique for each study.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and report to supervisor.
• Maintain infection control and clean equipment.
• Verify patient identity and order accuracy; obtain complete clinical history.
• Adhere to preprocedural verification and Time Out processes.
• Explain procedures clearly using AIDET to reduce patient anxiety.
• Provide post-procedure care and documentation.
• Restock supplies and maintain department readiness.
• Operate NM equipment within department and maintain regulatory standards.
