Job summary

Wellstar invites applications for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Georgia. The role involves performing a range of nuclear medicine procedures, setting up equipment, preparing patients, and ensuring high-quality diagnostic studies under department procedures.

The ideal candidate will hold an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, have at least one year of clinical patient care experience, and possess ARRT Nuclear Technology or equivalent certification with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in caring for patients is required.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech is required upon hire.
• BLS certification at least.

Responsibilities

• Operates NM equipment to obtain diagnostic images with quality and safety.
• Verifies patient identity and prepares the patient and procedure per protocol.
• Reviews images for radiologist feedback and ensures timely PACS transmission.
• Maintains equipment and adheres to infection control policies.
