Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to support patient care in a hospital setting. You will perform exams, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, position patients, and ensure safety and accuracy under radiologist supervision.

The role requires an Associates in Radiologic Technology with 1 year of clinical experience; ARRT Nuclear Tech or Cert Nuclear Med Tech plus BLS is required. On-site, full-time with competitive pay and benefits in Georgia.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates Radiologic Technology.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience.
• Nuclear medicine experience: 1 year preferred.
• Certifications: ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Operates Nuclear Medicine (NM) equipment and performs procedures with independence while maintaining diagnostic quality.
• Verifies patient identity, gathers clinical history, and adheres to preprocedural verification procedures.
• Ensures patient safety, infection control, and proper handling of radiopharmaceuticals per hospital policy.
• Maintains quality control of equipment, documents procedures, and communicates with radiologists.
• Performs patient care and supports other technologists as needed to ensure timely exams.
