Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Tech PRN to support patient care in our busy radiology department. Under the supervision of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, you will perform nuclear medicine and PET procedures with a focus on safety and quality.

You will work onsite, administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate gamma cameras, and ensure accurate imaging results. This PRN position offers exposure within a major health system and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS must be completed within 6 months of hire.
• State Registered Radiologic Technician.
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) - AART (NM).
• NMTCB PET Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, perform general radiographic procedures related to Nuclear Medicine/PET.
• Apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis with independence and judgment.
• Conduct tests for in-patients and out-patients.
• Operate Nuclear Medicine cameras and related equipment.
• Administer pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals per Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
• Demonstrate radiation safety practices.

Education

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)

ACLS within 6 months of hire

State Registered Radiologic Technician

Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) - AART (NM)

NMTCB PET Certification preferred
