Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Tech PRN to support diagnostic imaging in our radiology department. The role involves performing Nuclear Medicine and PET procedures under physician supervision, handling radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring patient safety and quality imaging.

The ideal candidate holds state radiologic credentials, NMTCB/NMT certifications, and BLS/ACLS readiness. This PRN position offers exposure to a busy tertiary center with extensive patient care opportunities

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• ACLS must be completed within 6 months of hire.
• State Registered Radiologic Technician credential required.
• NMTCB NM or NMT - AART (NM) certification required.
• NMTCB PET certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist performs general radiographic procedures.
• Performs tests in-patients and out-patients with radiopharmaceuticals and isotopes.
• Operates Nuclear Medicine cameras and related equipment.
• Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals per Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
• Maintains radiation safety and patient care standards.

ACLS within 6 months

Education

State Registered Radiologic Technician

Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or NMT - AART (NM)

NMTCB PET Certification preferred
