Medical City Dallas is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician to perform isotopic imaging and related radiographic procedures under the supervision of a Nuclear Medicine Physician. The role requires independent judgment in applying radiopharmaceuticals and isotopes for diagnostic imaging.

Winner candidates will be certified (NMTCB/NMT or ARRT NM) with Texas MRT and BLS. The hospital emphasizes safety and patient-centered care in a large tertiary setting.

Qualifications

• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) is required.
• MRT license for Texas (State of Texas) is required.
• ARRT(NM) or NMTCB certification is required.
• NMTCB PET certification is preferred.
• Current AHA or ARC BLS provider is required.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the technologist performs general radiographic procedures as applicable.
• Applies isotopes for radiographic diagnosis with a high degree of independent judgment.
• Performs tests in in-patients and out-patients.
• Operates Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment.
• Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
• Demonstrates proper radiation safety practices.

Education

Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT)

MRT State of Texas

ARRT(NM) or NMTCB Certification

NMTCB PET Certification preferred
