Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our team. This role supports Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, performing radiographic procedures and administering radiopharmaceuticals.

The position involves independent judgment, radiation safety, and operation of Nuclear Medicine cameras and related equipment. The ideal candidate has NM/NMTCB certification, valid Texas licensure, and BLS (ACLS within 6 months).

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine preferred.
• MTR State of Texas license.
• ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification.
• NMTCB PET certification preferred.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider.
• ACLS provider required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures.
• Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis.
• Performs test in-patients and out-patients.
• Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment.
• Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
• Demonstrates industry in radiation safety.
• Other duties as assigned.
