Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging across age groups, ensuring patient comfort and safety while following all protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program (JRCNMT or NMTCB).
• Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience required.
• Licensure/Certification: ARDMS or ARRT (Nuclear Medicine), CNMT, NMTCB, and BLS upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all required nuclear medicine exams on patients of all age groups, positioning the patient and equipment, selecting the protocol, technique and utilizing all required equipment.
• Reviews all exam requisitions for pertinent information and makes notes on all additional pertinent information.
• Determine the quality of radiopharmaceutical received from suppliers.
• Explains test procedures and safety precautions to patients and provide them with assistance during test procedures.
• Protects self, patient and other personnel during all nuclear medicine exams.
• Maintains all required records, reports, licenses and files as required by Federal, State and other regulatory agencies.
• Maintains proficiency to perform all advanced imaging in nuclear medicine.
• Assist with performing and planning multiple diagnostic procedures in appropriate time sequences.
• Acts as a mentor for students and junior technologists.
• Ensures department meets all regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrates the ability to post-process advance imaging procedures by using applications such as Syngo Via.

Education

Nuclear Medicine program accredited (JRCNMT or NMTCB)

1 year of experience in nuclear medicine

ARDMS or ARRT - Nuclear Medicine Tech

CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Tech

NMTCB - Nuclear Medicine Tech

BLS - Basic Life Support
