Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine and cardiology procedures. You will ensure protocol adherence, safety, and high-quality imaging across patient age groups.

The role includes quality control, documentation, mentoring, and post-processing with Syngo Via, while maintaining regulatory compliance and patient care standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by either the JRCNMT or NMTCB.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine.
• Licensure/certification required upon hire as listed.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures according to protocols and ALARA guidelines.
• Performs quality control procedures in line with manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
• Explain procedures and safety precautions to patients and assist during tests.
• Maintain records, licenses and files per federal and state regulations.
• Mentor students and junior technologists; ensure department meets regulatory requirements.
• Post-process imaging using applications like Syngo Via.
