Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures. You will review requisitions, ensure protocol adherence, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

The role requires certification at hire (ARDMS/CNMT/NMTCB) and BLS, with a minimum of 1 year of experience. Mentorship of students and junior staff is part of the position.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by JRCNMT or NMTCB.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine.
• Licensure/certification required at hire: ARDMS or CNMT or NMTCB, plus BLS.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures per protocols and QA requirements.
• Reviews exam requisitions and notes pertinent info for procedures.
• Determines quality of radiopharmaceuticals received.
• Explains procedures and safety precautions to patients and assists during tests.
• Maintains all required records and licenses per federal/state regulations.
• Mentors students and junior technologists; ensures regulatory compliance.
• Post-processes imaging using applications such as Syngo Via.
