Job summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Carle Health performs diagnostic studies and therapeutic administrations using radiopharmaceuticals and PET/CT equipment, following department protocols and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• CNMT within 1 year from NMTCB.
• NMT Registration (N) within 1 year.
• BLS within 30 days (AHA).
• Education credentials needed: College Diploma or Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical therapy using Nuc Med and/or PET/CT equipment following department protocols and guidelines.
• Reviews cases with radiologist and checks patient history for medical necessity.
• Administers IV radiopharmaceuticals via existing IV line or veni-puncture; screens for pregnancy when applicable.
• Maintains imaging equipment, supplies, and safe work environment; reports malfunctions promptly.
