Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic studies and assist with therapeutic administrations using radiopharmaceuticals and imaging equipment in line with department protocols.

The role requires CNMT certification, NMTCB, N, and BLS within set timeframes, with a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for relocating over 50 miles. A strong focus on patient safety and multi-tasking is essential.

Qualifications

Education and certification requirements as listed: College Diploma or Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology or related field.
CNMT certification and NMTCB registration within specified timeframes.
BLS certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical therapy using Nuc Med and/or PED/CT equipment following department protocols.
Review orders, patient history, and data to determine medical necessity and exam suitability.
Administer IV radiopharmaceuticals via existing IV line or veni-puncture and place IV line.
Ensure imaging quality by proper positioning, factors, and alignment; verify data accuracy and completeness.
Transfer and verify image data in PACS; provide medical history for Radiologist interpretation; send exams for reading after hours.
