Job summary

The Nuclear Company is seeking a Mechanical Sales Engineer to identify and develop opportunities in mechanical maintenance, outage support, and rotating equipment. You will work with utility customers and engineering teams to create tailored technical solutions and proposals.

Hybrid role with occasional hands-on outage work, field service, and travel to customer sites. The position emphasizes safety, accuracy, and strong customer relationships to ensure asset reliability and outage performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3–5+ years in technical sales, application engineering, or mechanical field services.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems in power generation or heavy industry.
• Ability to read P&IDs, drawings, and equipment layouts.
• Experience preparing technical proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates.
• Knowledge of rotating equipment, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and related systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to travel up to 50% and perform hands-on outage work when required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with utility customers and industry partners.
• Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and in new territories.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and forecast using CRM tools.
• Promote mechanical maintenance, outage support, field services, and workforce solutions.
• Translate customer requirements into detailed technical proposals and quotes.
• Collaborate with Operations, Project Management, Recruiting and field teams on scopes and execution.
