Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a Mechanical Associate Manager to join its growing team of nuclear professionals. You will contribute to evaluating and implementing power uprates at nuclear facilities, while providing technical leadership and mentoring developing engineers.

This role offers exposure to large plant systems, collaboration with senior SMEs, and opportunities to advance into technical or people leadership roles, with travel up to 15-25% to client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• At least 3 years of design engineering experience in power generation or nuclear power.
• EIT or PE license preferred.
• Experience in mechanical system design, thermal-hydraulic systems, HVAC systems, or nuclear plant modifications.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate team and achieve goals through positive leadership.
• Proven experience directing and overseeing technical work by others.
• Ability to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear power plant.
• US Citizenship required.
• Willingness to travel up to 15–25% to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design tasks for power uprates and related plant modifications.
• Mentor and develop engineers on the team and across projects.
• Provide technical leadership and contribute to project execution and planning.
• Collaborate with clients and SMEs to ensure compliance and safety standards.
• Support business development and knowledge-sharing within the team.
