Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced LR/SLR professional to support license extension and aging management programs across the U.S. nuclear fleet. The role emphasizes translating aging management commitments into practical inspection and implementation plans, with potential field inspections as needed.

Hybrid work from Knoxville, three days in office, two remote. The ideal candidate brings LR/SLR experience, plus nuclear, field, or DOE program background, and strong ability to bridge

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in design and analysis of nuclear, industrial, or DOE facilities.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience managing medium-to-large projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience guiding, mentoring, and training staff engineers.

Responsibilities

• Support LR/SLR implementation activities including procedure changes, PM basis and frequency development, and WO development/review.
• Roadmap inspections and aging management activities to NRC regulations and LR/SLR commitments.
• Define sample populations and inspection scopes and ensure traceability to commitments.
• Use work management and planning systems to identify LR/SLR opportunities in online and outage scopes.
• Coordinate with schedulers, planners, and field organizations to embed aging needs into work sequences and outages.
• Develop and maintain engineering program basis documentation and supporting justifications.
• Support NRC commitment tracking and closure including technical responses and inspection packages.
