Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Design Group. You will develop precise I&C designs for power facilities and support regulatory compliance, while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in I&C design, PLCs/DCS experience, and strong writing skills. This full-time role may require travel and offers growth within a training-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical, Mechanical or similar Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience designing I&C plant components and controls systems including PLCs and DCS.
• Experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects preferred.
• Excellent writing and communication skills; able to work well individually and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering deliverables: drawings, calculations, and analyses meeting codes, standards, and client expectations.
• Set engineering documents to exceed client, ENERCON, and regulatory requirements.
• Stay current with industry codes, safety culture principles, and advanced design techniques.
• Drive quality and precision aligning with QA programs.
• Build strong client relationships through clear communication and professional engagement.
• Collaborate across disciplines to create integrated designs.
• Provide field support with site walkdowns and compliance verification.
