ENERCON is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineer for our Nuclear Design Group in Fort Worth, TX. You will design I&C components and control systems, including PLCs and DCS, supporting safe and reliable operation of nuclear facilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with design of I&C plant components and controls systems including PLCs and DCS.
  • Must have experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects directly or with an engineering/design consulting firm.
  • Good writing, presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • US Citizenship is required due to Federal Contract Requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support safe, reliable operation of nuclear power facilities.
  • Develop engineering deliverables: drawings, calculations, and analyses to industry codes and client expectations.
  • Set engineering documents to meet client, ENERCON, and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay current with industry codes, safety culture, and advanced design techniques.
  • Drive quality and precision in engineering solutions within QA programs.
  • Cultivate strong client connections through clear communication and delivery of results.
  • Provide field support on-site, including plant walkdowns to ensure compliance.
