Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Design Group. The role offers a path from mid-level to principal engineering, with opportunities to lead, mentor, and pursue technical or leadership tracks.

The successful candidate will design I&C plant components, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support safe, reliable operation of nuclear facilities. US Citizenship is required; location: Kennesaw, GA and other U.S. sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or similar Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in design of I&C plant components and controls systems including PLCs and DCS.
• Experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects.
• Strong writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.
• US Citizenship required due to Federal Contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering deliverables: drawings, calculations, and analyses meeting codes and client expectations.
• Create engineering documents that meet client, ENERCON, and regulatory requirements.
• Stay current with industry codes, safety culture, and advanced design techniques.
• Deliver high-quality engineering solutions aligned with QA programs.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and reliable delivery.
• Collaborate across disciplines to create integrated designs for diverse projects.
• Provide field support: on-site reviews, plant walkdowns, and verification of structures/systems.
