Job summary

Duke Energy is hiring for Nuclear Engineer I/II at the Oconee Nuclear Station in South Carolina. You will develop engineering solutions for instrumentation and control systems, power and cybersecurity requirements, and guide modifications through design and turnover.

Entry to mid-level engineers build technical proficiency under supervision, with opportunities to lead modifications once qualified, and a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• FE exam passed or completed is preferred.
• Nuclear power plant experience is a plus.
• Strong safety culture and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering modifications for electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
• Define scope, requirements, design basis, installation, testing and turnover.
• Review designs, risk, lifecycle needs, and stakeholder input.
• Provide field and outage support with proper configuration control.
