Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation seeks an Electrical/ Nuclear Engineer for the Catawba Nuclear Station Operations Support Engineering – Electrical (OSE-E) team. You will oversee electrical and digital systems, ensuring reliability, safety, and compliance in a nuclear power plant environment.

Role involves preventive maintenance support, inspections, issue trend analysis, and collaboration with Maintenance and Operations. Hybrid schedule with onsite and remote work after onboarding.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Master's degree can substitute for BS.
• Minimum 4 years engineering experience.
• Minimum 1 year nuclear experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor health and performance of plant electrical systems via preventive maintenance.
• Conduct plant inspections and walkdowns.
• Identify, trend and resolve equipment issues.
• Provide technical oversight to Maintenance and Operations.
• Maintain long-term system reliability.
• Support operability and ageing of equipment replacements.
