Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Nuclear Hardness Survivability Systems Engineer (Level 2/3) to define environments, model radiation transport, and analyze nuclear effects on circuits and subsystems. The role includes ground shock and thermal effects assessments, and evaluating EMP impacts on electronics.

Qualifications include a STEM BS and 2+ years of experience (or MS with less experience); U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Employer requires a STEM degree and security clearance.
• Experience with nuclear environments and survivability preferred.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance and SAP access.

Responsibilities

• Defining NH&S environments and performing radiation modeling.
• Analyze nuclear effects on circuitry and hardware.
• Conduct ground shock and thermal effects analyses.
• Assess EMP effects on electronics and testing of NHS.
