Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr. Staff Nuclear Hardness Survivability Engineer to join the Sentinel Systems Engineering Ground Systems team located in Roy, UT. The successful candidate will join the NH&S team to provide SME level technical oversight in EMP effects, hardening, EMP testing, and requirements work.

The role leads 3–5 engineers, mentors 30 engineers, and drives system qualification efforts including EMI/HEMP related studies and trade-offs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or other relevant STEM degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME level technical oversight to NH&S team in EMP effects, hardening, EMP testing, and system requirements work.
• Lead EMP design efforts with IPTs and mentor engineers.
• Coordinate large-scale EMP tests and analyze NHS qualification data.
