Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, UT seeks a Sr. Staff Nuclear Hardness Survivability Engineer to lead EMP-related activities and provide SME technical direction.

You will manage NH&S environments, coordinate large-scale EMP tests, and guide a team of 3-5 engineers with mentorship to a larger group. The role requires 14+ years as a Sr Staff Systems Engineer with a DoD Secret clearance, strong MIL-STD knowledge, and proven IPT leadership across missile and ground systems.

Qualifications

Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or other relevant STEM field.
Experience with MIL-STD standards and EM hardening.
Expertise in EMP effects, testing, and design for missile/ground systems.

Responsibilities

Provide SME-level oversight for EMP/NH&S activities.
Lead EMP design efforts and architect system qualification.
Mentor engineers and coordinate with IPTs and customers.
