Job summary

S&M E is seeking a Field Geotechnical Engineer or Geologist to join our team on nuclear project sites. The role focuses on field investigations, data interpretation, and reporting, with travel to multiple sites and out-of-state assignments as needed.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree, 2 years of geotechnical experience, and comfort operating in regulated environments. A PE/PG or similar is a plus. This is a full‑time role offering diverse project exposure and growth.

Qualifications

• Field subsurface exploration experience is required.
• Experience working on nuclear projects or in highly regulated environments is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, or related field required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations including soil borings, drilling oversight, monitoring well installation, and in-situ testing.
• Analyze subsurface conditions and interpret geological and geotechnical data for engineering uses.
• Prepare data tables, figures, and graphical presentations; develop clear technical reports for client and regulatory review.
