Job summary

S&M E seeks a Field Geotechnical Engineer / Geologist (Nuclear) to support field investigations, data analysis, and reporting for nuclear project sites across multiple regions. The role emphasizes field exploration, QA, and collaboration with drilling contractors and laboratories.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Geology with 2 years of geotechnical or geological experience, plus travel on a rotating schedule (10 days on/4 off).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
• 2 years of geotechnical engineering, geology, or consulting experience.
• Field subsurface exploration experience required; nuclear project exposure a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support field investigations including soil borings, drilling oversight, monitor wells, and in-situ testing.
• Analyze subsurface conditions and interpret geological/geotechnical data.
• Develop engineering recommendations from field and lab data.
• Prepare data tables, figures, and technical reports for client/review.
• Coordinate with drilling contractors, laboratories, vendors, and project teams.
