Job summary

S&ME Inc. is seeking a Field Geotechnical Engineer / Geologist to support nuclear project work and civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in field investigations, data analysis, and technical reporting.

This position requires significant fieldwork, including subsurface exploration and compliance inspections. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Geology and 2 years of relevant experience. The role entails travel and offers benefits including health plans, 401(k), and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, geology, or consulting.
• Experience working on nuclear projects or in highly regulated environments is a plus.
• EIT, GIT, PE, or PG is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support a wide range of civil, geotechnical, and environmental projects for nuclear sites.
• Conduct fieldwork, including soil borings, drilling oversight, and in-situ testing.
• Analyze subsurface conditions and interpret geological and geotechnical data.
• Prepare technical reports for client and regulatory review.
• Perform construction and environmental inspections to ensure compliance.
