Job summary

Boston Government Services, LLC is seeking a Uranium Processing Facility Safety Technical Support professional to provide nuclear facility safety support at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The role emphasizes hazard analysis, safety basis development, and DOE regulatory compliance to sustain secure operations.

The successful candidate will serve as a lead safety engineer, mentor 3–5 new hires, and work onsite with a 4/10 schedule to support critical national security

Qualifications

• BS degree required with extensive DOE/NNSA safety experience.
• Experience with hazard analysis, safety basis, and safety requirements.
• Lead responsibilities in complex nuclear facilities.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrated hazard identification, screening, and evaluation; document safety analyses and safety requirements.
• Familiar with Defense Nuclear Facility Safety Board issues related to DOE facilities.
• Lead Facility Safety Engineer in 9212 or 9215 Complexes.
• Develop safety basis documents for Y-12.
• Train and mentor 3–5 new hires into FSE over 2–3 years.
