Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Lead Auditor to manage the nuclear QA audit program and lead a team of auditors and specialists. You will plan annual audits, conduct internal and supplier audits, write reports, and verify corrective actions to closure.

Required are NQA-1 Lead Auditor qualifications or progress toward them, plus 5+ years in nuclear QA auditing and familiarity with 10 CFR parts. Travel to sites and supplier facilities is expected.

Qualifications

• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor, or qualifiable within 90 days: training, audits, and written exam per NQA-1 Part II Subpart 2.23.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance with hands-on auditing of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• ASQ CQA is a plus; writes audit reports that NRC inspectors can follow.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program; lead internal and supplier audits.
• Supervise auditors and specialists; collect objective evidence and close findings with corrective actions.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records; support external audits of the program.
